Title: Cadence
Artist: HOTT3D & EYECOM Collaboration
Materials: Steel with outdoor LED
Year: 2026

Cadence (2026) is an immersive lighting installation that transforms a static architectural form into a living, rhythmic experience.

A series of angular steel structures, embedded with LED modules, are evenly spaced to form a defined pathway along the entrance walkway. While structurally fixed and minimal in form, these pillars become animated through light. Each one acting as a point within a larger sequence, working in unison to guide the visitor forward.

As visitors move through the tunnel, light travels with them. Pulses, surges, and subtle transitions flow across the structures in a coordinated rhythm, creating a sense of momentum and direction. The installation draws on the idea of cadence as a natural pattern of movement, found in breath, in footsteps, in the unseen rhythms that shape our experience of space and time.

The interplay of light and structure brings what is still into motion. Through carefully programmed sequences, the installation shifts between moments of calm and intensity, echoing the rise and fall of energy. Light becomes a force that activates the environment, transforming rigid steel into something fluid, responsive, and alive.

Cadence (2026) explores how light can define movement without physical change. How it can create flow, guide perception, and generate a dynamic spatial experience.

It is a study in rhythm and progression, where illumination becomes the medium through which space is activated, and where visitors are carried forward by a continuous, luminous pulse.
